Highway Vignette — Hungary

Hungary uses an electronic vignette system called e-matrica for its motorway network. Vignettes are available as national or county-level passes, giving drivers flexible options depending on their route.

Where to Buy

Hungarian e-matrica vignettes can be purchased online through the official portal, at petrol stations, and at border crossing points throughout Hungary.

Frequently Asked Questions

A county vignette covers toll roads within a single county and is cheaper. A national vignette covers all toll roads across Hungary. If your trip crosses multiple counties, the national option is usually more economical.
