Slovak motorway e-vignette

A motorway vignette is a mandatory fee for using toll sections of Slovak motorways and selected expressways. It applies to passenger cars up to 3.5 t, vans, motorhomes and certain vehicle combinations with a trailer. The e-vignette is linked directly to the licence plate (LP) — no stickers, no waiting and with instant validity.

You can choose from vignettes with different validity periods: 1-day, 10-day, 30-day and yearly 365-day. Pick the type based on how often you use the motorways. For a short visit a short-term vignette is enough; for regular travel the yearly one pays off.

Checks are automatic via cameras and LP recognition. Driving without a valid vignette can lead to a fine of up to €500. After purchase always verify the validity of your vignette and check that your vehicle details are correct — these are the most common mistakes drivers make.
