What does "Temporarily exempt" mean?
Selected short sections are part of the motorway and expressway network, but driving on them is currently not subject to toll. You don't need a valid vignette on these sections. The status of sections may change — always check current traffic signs for the up-to-date information.
City bypasses exempt from the requirement
Since 1 August 2024, bypasses of Žilina (D1, D3), Považská Bystrica, Púchov and other cities are exempt from the vignette requirement. These sections may be used without a valid vignette.
